You finally got your Manolos!
This was the perfect birthday cake for my sister. She always wanted a pair of Manolo Blahniks...well, she got them, in black of course!!! It was a chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream. Tasted like a strawberry dipped in chocolate. Delish! Happy Birthday, Sister!!!

Everything

and a show. He surprised me with the most beautiful dinner I have ever had...The Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center. It was gorgeous seeing the sunset over Manhattan and watching the lights of the New York skyline come up. It was perfect! The dinner and being with the most perfect man I have ever met. I am so lucky to have him.
Then it was off the Imperial Theatre to see "Billy Elliot: the Musical." It was a not so good transfer of one of my most favorite movies to the Broadway stage. It still managed to make me cry, but there were too many changes and cuts form the movie that I just could not get over, but it was being with PJ that made it truly unforgettable. He is my "Everything"."Everything" by Michael Buble
You're a falling star, you're the get away car.
You're the line in the sand when i go too far.
You're the swimming pool on an August Day,
And you're the perfect thing to see.
And you play your card, but it's kinda cute.
Oh, when you smile at me you know exactly what you do.
Baby, don't pretend that you don't know it's true
"cause you can see it when I look at you.
And in this crazy life, and through these crazy time
It's you, it's you; you make me sing.
You're every line you're every word, you're everything.
You're a carousel, you're a wishing well
And you light me up when you ring my bell.
You're a mystery. you're from outer space.
You're every minute of everyday.
And I can't believe, uh, that I'm your man,
And i get to kiss you, baby, just because I can.
Whatever comes our way, oh, we'll see it through
And you know that's what our love can do.

This is the time to remember...
Hey folks! Hope you had an amazing summer. I certainly did. Still no baking yet, but I'll keep you posted. My summer at The American
Musical Theatre at San Jose up til now was my favorite summer. I never had so much fun than I did this summer, and I have to thank PJ for that. We spent some great days at Robert MosesWednesday, August 13, 2008

Hello biotches!!! For my theatrical friends, we saw a fun, clever and most importantly ORIGINAL broadway musical. Not based on a mediocre movie or a horrible plot-less jukebox musical. "[Title of Show]"! It was hysterical. I laughed so hard and more importantly, very often. Also a recommendation for a nice lunch...Virgil's. A perfect bbq stlye lunch and right in the theatre district/ Times Square.

It's Getting Hot in Here, So Take Off All Your Clothes
Sorry it has been a long time since
I posted anything. The oven has been on hiatus, but my life has not! It has been an amazing summer. Spending time at the Long Island beaches. Finally hit the "clothing optional" beaches of Robert Moses and Jones Beach. It has felt weird going to Long Beach with a bathing suit on!!!!
I got to see my diva Patti LuPone in "Gypsy" for the third time,
and saw the much hyped up "In the Heights." PJ and I had so much fun going around the theatre district taking pictures to hang in the new bedroom. Thank you for the pictures sugar face! Then again, every moment with him is special and fun. Boy, do I love that man. I thought I knew what it felt like to be in love before PJ. Now I know for sure. Just like Rose says to Herbie," You'll never get away from me..."

I'm Just a Broadway Baby...
Hi all! So I think I made my favorite cake so far. It was a cake for PJ for his BBQ. Oh what a fun night!! It was a tribute to every Broadway musical that won "Best Musical." It started with the first Tony for "Kiss Me, Kate" to this year's "In The Heights." It took almost 3 weeks to make all the individual show plaques, but it was so worth all the work.

Summer in the City
Hey all! Sorry, its been a long time...been on a little hiatus due to the hot weather...no baking when the temperature outside is just as hot as the inside of the oven...anyway it was a busy weekend.
Caught a matinee of "Mamma Mia!"with mom and Jeanette. Carolee Carmello was amazing as Donna, the mother. Her rendition of "The Winner Takes it All" stopped the show. The best I ever heard the song. I really enjoyed this performance than the first time I saw the show 7 years ago. Then off to dinner at Pomodoro. Always a great choice, thanks Marguerite! Then we downed a cupcake at the new Magnolia Bakery on Columbus Ave. Then PJ and I went to see Liz Callaway at Feinstein's at the Regency Hotel. God, I love that place! She was incredible. What an amazing an effortless voice!
Sunday, we spent in Brooklyn. PJ, Bobby, and I went to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and Coney Island.

The gardens were beautiful, and the company was perfection. Coney Island was fun. The people were very interesting. We went on the Wonder Wheel. What laughs! Then we rode this "haunted" ride that was not scary at all. It was a fantastic weekend, but then again, any weekend with PJ is fantastic. Just being in his presence makes me so very happy.
Ok..now on with the cakes...this is gonna be a very busy week or two. I have 4 cakes to make...3 birthday cakes and one graduation cake...look out for them...
