New York, New York...it's a helluva town

The boyfriend and I decided to spend a lovely fall day on a bike tour of Governor's Island and then to a tres magnifique French restaurant, Les Halles.  Oh how I love New York City!

SURPRISE!!!!

Here is a little pink gift box I made for the boyfriend's sister's surprise 40th birthday. I think it was the best tasting so far. A seven-layer vanilla cake with Chambord buttercream alternating with strawberry jam! Delish!
