Well guys it's a done deal...no more night shift at Winthrop. As of Feb 2, I will be part of the Open Heart Surgical Team! Day shift from now on! So to celebrate the new beginning, I made a chocolate devil's food cake with mocha raspberry buttercream! After work some friends and I went to Novita in Garden City. I am very lucky to have such great co-workers who I can call friends!
On Saturday I finally had the opportunity to see "August: Osage County." Oh what a play! The cast was superb. Probably the best acting I ever saw on stage! Tomorrow is Polar Bear Plunge...check for later posts with photos from that event!
Not as good as the film, but not terrible. Sutton Foster as Fiona was great! Brian D'Arcy James was good, but we didn't care for the actor playing the donkey! Music was cute. We had a nice lunch at Junior's and then to the movies to see "Valkyrie". Tom Cruise was surprisingly good.
